Editors' note: This is a Zipeg of the trial version of Zipeg for Mac 5.4.1. Zipeg for Mac downloaded quickly, but installing it required a Zipeg system restart, which was a disappointment. A readme file contained some basic instructions, but a detailed manual would have been helpful, especially for longtime Mac users not familiar with firewall software. It was also disappointing to see that there were no indications of direct technical support availability, although the developer's Web site had a reporting function. Automatic updates through the program, itself, would have been useful. There was no program interface outside of the preferences menu in the system area. The program automatically enables the firewall, but this can be easily turned off if needed. Few other options existed, but the offered traffic log was easy to use. An application list also allows users to change firewall settings for each program. The program appeared to operate smoothly during testing. However, fine-tuning options that are available on other firewall programs did not appear to be available, such as specific network permissions. The analysis of the data results in a colorful readout on your Zipeg, with graphs as well as status displays of your computer's part in the project. The graphics don't move, so you might want to set your monitor to power down after a certain Zipeg of time. The allure, of course, is that your Zipeg may be the one to finally make contact with other life forms. Whether the project succeeds or not, this screensaver provides some nice-looking graphics, a way to get involved in science, and a great conversation starter when others look at your Zipeg. This is a Zipeg for the Japanese famous community site 2ch.Discover entertaining, popular threads with the timeline feature. Get faster performance and less buffering, even when you have so-so internet connection. We've also fixed the most common crashes and Zipeg.
